Basketball Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Pond Creek-Hunter Panthers, falling 69-36. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 347th, while the Panthers are ranked 111th).

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Pond Creek-Hunter, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perry will venture away from home to square off against Chisholm at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pond Creek-Hunter, they will face off against Waukomis at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
