Basketball Recap: Sophia Faraci Key Part of Team Effort in Rams Win

Port Chester's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-43 win over the Peekskill Red Devils. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their 25-point performance the matchup before.

Port Chester's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sophia Faraci led the charge by going 10-for-23 en route to 20 points and four steals. That's the most points Faraci has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Elise Thomas, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Port Chester smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.

Port Chester is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Peekskill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

As of now, neither Port Chester nor Peekskill have any future games scheduled.
