Volleyball Recap: Talia Mardrussian and Molly Murphy Secure Win for Village Christian + How To Watch

Village Christian had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Whittier Christian Heralds as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Village Christian took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-13, 25-9.

Leading Village Christian to victory were Molly Murphy and Talia Mardrussian. Murphy had 11 digs and one assist, while Mardrussian had six digs and two aces. Those 11 digs gave Murphy a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Village Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are 8-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

The win got Village Christian back to even at 16-16. As for Whittier Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-27 record this season.

As of now, neither Village Christian nor Whittier Christian have any future games scheduled.
