Baseball Recap: Knippa Comes Up Short

Knippa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 17-0 to the D'Hanis Cowboys. The game marked the first time this season in which the Crushers were not able to get on the board.

Knippa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Memphis G, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. G is becoming a predictor of Knippa's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't).

Knippa now has a losing record of 4-5. As for D'Hanis, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Knippa will take on Three Rivers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for D'Hanis, they are taking a road trip to challenge Sabinal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
