Basketball Recap: Foothills Christian Takes a Loss

Foothills Christian was the 86-37 winner over Oceanside when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights took a blow against the Pirates on Saturday, falling 81-51.

Despite the loss, Foothills Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Joel Richards posted 27 points. Another player making a difference was Jack Sudi, who had ten points.

Foothills Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Oceanside, they moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Foothills Christian will take on High Tech SD in a tournament on Monday. The Knights' defense better be ready for this one: the Storm have averaged an impressive 51.2 points per game this season. As for Oceanside, they will take on Cathedral Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
