Morse found their leader in sophomore Ethan Esmailian, who threw for 307 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes. Those 307 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Esmailian.

Despite the loss, Clairemont still got an impressive performance from Tyler Allen, who rushed for 133 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 100 receiving yards.

Morse picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 5-3. As for Clairemont, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Morse has already played their next contest, a 30-14 defeat against Coronado on the 24th. As for Clairemont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 38-20 loss against Kearny on the 24th.
