Football Recap: Morse Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road + How To Watch

The third road contest was the charm for Morse, as they earned their first away win of the season. They came out on top against the Clairemont Chieftains by a score of 34-23 on Friday.

Morse found their leader in sophomore Ethan Esmailian, who threw for 307 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes. Those 307 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Esmailian.

Morse's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-3. As for Clairemont, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Morse is set to challenge their familiar foe Coronado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Meanwhile, Clairemont will square off against rival Kearny at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
