Basketball Game Preview: Divine Child Falcons vs. Gabriel Richard Fighting Irish

The Divine Child Falcons will square off against the Gabriel Richard Fighting Irish at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Divine Child beat Clintondale 55-47. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Dragons are ranked 392nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Richard waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 77-30 win over the Falcons. The game marked the Fighting Irish's most dominant victory of the season.

Divine Child's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points over those games. As for Gabriel Richard, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.
