Volleyball Recap: Altoona Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Altoona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the State College Little Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Little Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Altoona was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Altoona lost, don't look at Marina Petucci. Despite the final result, she had 17 digs. Petucci is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Brianna Sanchez also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Altoona's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for State College, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
