Refugio is 8-2 against Woodsboro since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bobcats will challenge the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

On Monday, Refugio had just enough and edged out Port Aransas 8-6.

Meanwhile, Woodsboro posted their closest win since April 1, 2025 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Skidmore-Tynan 9-7. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Jordan Vega was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. JR Alaniz also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Refugio's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Woodsboro, their victory bumped their record up to 2-12.

Everything went Refugio's way against Woodsboro when the teams last played back in March, as Refugio made off with a 10-0 win. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
