Softball Recap: Mary Louis Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Mary Louis Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the St. John the Baptist Cougars with a sharp 16-10 victory.

Abby Roy was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Roy was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Mary Louis Academy let Mia Valerio and Syd Ambrosino run wild. Valerio went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Ambrosino went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Petri, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Mary Louis Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Mary Louis Academy will face off against Monsignor McClancy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. John the Baptist, they will take on St. Anthony's at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
