Softball Recap: Elberta Beats UMS-Wright Prep for Their Third Straight Victory

Elberta won the last time they faced UMS-Wright Prep and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Bulldogs. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won three games in a row.

Destiny Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

At the plate, Elberta's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Bowmar, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most hits Bowmar has posted over her last ten matches.

Elberta's record is now 9-17. As for UMS-Wright Prep, they moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Elberta will square off against West Florida at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for UMS-Wright Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McGill-Toolen at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Yellowjackets at the right time seeing as the Yellowjackets are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
