Volleyball Recap: Towers Takes a Loss

Towers lost against Southwest DeKalb back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Titans fell 2-0 to the Panthers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-8.

Janai Townes was nothing short of spectacular for Southwest DeKalb: she had nine aces and three assists. Townes is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least five every time she's taken the court this season.

Towers dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Southwest DeKalb, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Towers will be playing at home against Columbia at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwest DeKalb, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Arabia Mountain on the 21st.
