Baseball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hazel Green Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-0 defeat on Saturday.

Austin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Parker, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Parker a new career-high in RBI (two).

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Hazel Green, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Austin will challenge West Morgan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hazel Green, they will be playing at home against Sparkman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
