Vernon Yellowjackets with a sharp 61-41 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Chard Peloquin, who went 7 of 9 from beyond the arc on her way to 28 points along with five boards and five steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game.
The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Caudill, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 13 points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four).
Newark Catholic now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Mt. Vernon, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Vernon, they will venture away from home to challenge Granville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Granville will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Mt.
