Softball Recap: Carteret Comes Up Short

Carteret's last matchup with Kennedy Memorial could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Ramblers lost 12-2 to the Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-9 loss back in April.

Trinity Bernadino was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Carteret has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Kennedy Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carteret will take on East Brunswick Vo-Tech at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Kennedy Memorial, they will square off against Mount St. Mary Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
