After a string of four wins, Metter's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Savannah Bluejackets. The Tigers lost against the Bluejackets in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 85-23 score last time.

Metter lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lincoln Shuman, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 10 points and eight boards. Elijah Dickerson was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Metter's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Savannah, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Metter has already played their next game, a 64-59 victory against Jenkins County on the 16th. As for Savannah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 72-54 win against Mt. Zion on the 19th.
