Football Recap: Hart's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Hart was the 30-6 winner over Shelby when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates took a 28-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Friday. The loss put an end to the Pirates' undefeated start to the season.

Shelby got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaylin Henderson out in front who rushed for 77 yards on only nine carries, and also threw for 74 yards and one touchdown. What's more, Henderson racked up 156.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isaac Garcia, who gained 50 total yards and two touchdowns.

Hart's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Shelby, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hart will challenge Kent City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shelby, they will take on Ravenna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
