Softball Recap: Pewitt Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Pewitt finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of the Detroit Eagles by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Brahmas in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Pewitt saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eryn Latham, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Pewitt's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Detroit, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pewitt is set to challenge their familiar foe Maud at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Detroit will face off against rival Bowie at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
