Basketball Recap: Mardela Comes Up Short

Mardela was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-31 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pocomoke Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Mardela this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-34 last Wednesday.

Mardela's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Pocomoke, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mardela will face off against Decatur at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pocomoke, they will venture away from home to face off against Bennett at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
