Basketball Recap: Vintage Takes a Loss

Vintage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 64-55 to the Casa Grande Gauchos. While losing is never fun, the Crushers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 945th, while the Gauchos are ranked 445th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Casa Grande to victory, but perhaps none more so than David Isola, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points and six assists. Isola's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Rice, who went 5 for 11 to rack up 16 points.

Vintage's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Casa Grande, they pushed their record up to 16-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Vintage will challenge Sonoma Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Casa Grande does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
