Recap: Westwood Panthers vs. Da Vinci Dragons
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bullard, the Westwood Panthers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They walked away with a 64-56 victory over Da Vinci. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Westwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Derik Boston anderson led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kavian Bryant, who scored 20 points.
Westwood has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Da Vinci, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.
Westwood won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Venus at 9:00 a.m. on December 29th. Da Vinci is on the road again on Thursday and play against Orangefield at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Orangefield will be looking to extend their current 16-game winning streak.
