Clinton had won two straight home games and Mylayja Thompson did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Clinton Red Devils came out on top against the Eau Claire Shamrocks by a score of 36-28 thanks in part to Thompson, who posted 12 points along with eight boards and five steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 18 times she's played.

Defeat or not, Eau Claire got some senior leadership from Syteria Bethel and Destinee Tiller. Bethel put up ten points and seven rebounds, while Tiller scored eight points.

Clinton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.0 points over those games. As for Eau Claire, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Clinton beat Eau Claire by a score of 34-31 on Friday.
