 On Wednesday, Morris Catholic faced West Morris Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Morris Catholic Crusaders walked away with  a   7-3  victory over the West Morris Central Wolfpack. The  win was familiar territory for Morris Catholic who now have five in a row.
  Sofia Reisinger made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out 12 batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned runs off   four  hits. Reisinger was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with a  triple, a  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Kaelyn Brown was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Natalie Carovillano, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Morris Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for West Morris Central, their defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of away wins  dating back to last season and  brought them to 14-2.
 Morris Catholic will be playing at home against Parsippany at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The last four games Parsippany has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for West Morris Central, they will head out on the road to  take on  Westfield at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. West Morris Central's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2  runs per game  this season, so Westfield's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
