Basketball Recap: Hanover Takes a Loss

Hanover was the 54-50 winner over Atlee when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hanover Hawks lost to the Atlee Raiders at home by a 59-44 margin on Friday. The game marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hanover's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Atlee, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hanover and Thomas Dale will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Atlee, they will be playing at home against Henrico at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Atlee knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Henrico likes a good challenge.
