After both having extra time off, the Moffat County Bulldogs and the Middle Park Panthers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
On Thursday, Moffat County didn't have quite enough to beat Cedaredge and fell 3-2.
Moffat County took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-17, 21-25, 25-19, 18-16.
Meanwhile, Middle Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Lupton. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bluedevils 25-16 in the first set.
Middle Park actually scored more points across those four sets (93-91), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-22.
Middle Park's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-5. As for Moffat County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
