Basketball Recap: Mary G. Montgomery Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mary G. Montgomery can now relate to. They received a blow on Wednesday as they fell 53-38 to the Bryant Hurricanes. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 119th).

Mari-Margret Grayson was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine steals for Bryant. Grayson's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points.

Mary G. Montgomery has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Bryant, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

Mary G. Montgomery does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bryant, they have already played their next contest, a 49-39 defeat against Davidson on the 7th.
