Softball Recap: Jamaica Wins Going Away Against Beach Channel

Jamaica lost to Beach Channel back in April of 2019, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Beavers were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Dolphins. The Beavers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.

Jamaica has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Beach Channel fell to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Jamaica will challenge Queens Teaching at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.4 runs per game on average), something the Beavers will no doubt try to take advantage of. Beach Channel has already played their next match (against Metropolitan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
