Football Recap: Baldwin Starts Season with Victory Against Englewood

Baldwin gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Englewood Rams 28-3. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Nashawn Jacobs was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 167 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Those 167 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another big playmaker for Baldwin was Jaiden Barnett, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baldwin is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Palatka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Englewood, they will venture away from home to challenge Beachside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
