Basketball Game Preview: Prosser Falcons vs. Normal West Wildcats

The Prosser Falcons will take on the Normal West Wildcats in a tournament on Saturday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Prosser and eight for Normal West.

Prosser saw some tournament action on Thursday. They were dealt a 64-33 loss at the hands of Peoria. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while the Lions are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, Normal West lost 53-31 to Harlem on Friday.

Prosser will need focus on slowing down Michael Zaleski, one of several Normal West players who made an impact when they last played. He posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of K'Shaun Jones, who earned four points.

Even though they lost, Normal West smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January.

Prosser's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Normal West, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
