Guernsey-Sunrise entered their tilt with Rock River on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Longhorns. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-2 win on Thursday.

Kierstyn Collar paced Guernsey-Sunrise's offense, picking up 12 kills. Collar got some help from Kamlee Collar and her 12 assists. Kamlee was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Guernsey-Sunrise's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Rock River, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Guernsey-Sunrise will venture away from home to face off against HEM at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rock River, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Southeast at 9:00 a.m. on October 11.
