Soccer Recap: Asheboro Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Asheboro proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by four) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let the Southeast Guilford Falcons get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Given the Blue Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Falcons are ranked 272nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Asheboro's one-goal win came courtesy of Penny Smith, who's now up to two this season.
