While Grant's victory against Sparta wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers skirted past the Spartans 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Grant got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-22, 23-25, 25-15.

Shoemaker Payton paced Grant's offense, picking up nine kills. Payton got some help from Longcore Emma and her 13 assists. Emma was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Grant's win bumped their record up to 30-16-3. As for Sparta, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-11 record this season.

Grant does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sparta, they will welcome Fruitport at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
