The Vikings came up short against the Hudson Pirates on Thursday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for Vinton-Shellsburg in their meetings with Hudson: they've now lost three in a row.

Vinton-Shellsburg's loss dropped their record down to 12-3-1. As for Hudson, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.
