Volleyball Recap: Omaha North Takes a Loss

Omaha North lost against Grand Island back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings fell 2-0 to the Islanders.

Loyren Gilreath paced Omaha North's offense, picking up two kills. Gilreath got some help from Ka'Brianna Lowe and her four assists.

Grand Island can attribute much of their success to Alexa Sackschewsky, who had ten assists and six aces.

Omaha North has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Grand Island, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Omaha North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Bellevue East on the 12th. As for Grand Island, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Omaha Central on the 12th.
