Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Stover's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Stover unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Cole Camp Blue Birds by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Birds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Stover sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-18, 18-25, 25-8.

Lexi Rogers paced Stover's offense, picking up eight kills. Rogers got some help from Kennedy Worthley and her 16 assists. Lainee Menning controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Stover's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8-3. As for Cole Camp, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2-3 record this season.

Stover has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Skyline on the 13th. As for Cole Camp, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Smithton on the 14th.
