Softball Game Preview: Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs vs. Peebles Indians

The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs will challenge the Peebles Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Lynchburg-Clay has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Lynchburg-Clay fell victim to Hillsboro and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since April 12th.

Meanwhile, Peebles lost 11-1 to Manchester on Saturday. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Greyhounds recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Lynchburg-Clay's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Peebles, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

Lynchburg-Clay took their victory against Peebles when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 12-2 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
