Davidson Fine Arts waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Laney Wildcats by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Davidson Fine Arts' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jane Pennington led the charge by getting 14 aces and four digs. Pennington has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Haidyn Sikes, who had seven digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Davidson Fine Arts was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 27 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive matches.

Davidson Fine Arts' victory bumped their record up to 21-14. As for Laney, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
