After losing to Southwest Virginia Academy the last time they met, Faith Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Conquerors on Thursday.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-23.

Alexis Tice paced Faith Christian's offense, picking up 11 kills. Tice got some help from Lily Carmouche and her 28 assists. Carmouche was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Faith Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Southwest Virginia Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.

Faith Christian has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Roanoke Valley Christian on the 23rd. As for Southwest Virginia Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Culpeper Homeschool Athletics at 10:00 a.m. on October 4.
