Basketball Recap: Wade Hampton Comes Up Short

Wade Hampton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastside Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 81-57 back in January.

Eastside was led to victory by Brandon Ray and Roman Ruggiero. Ray posted 15 points, while Ruggiero scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Mj Posey, who earned four points and seven rebounds.

Wade Hampton's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Eastside, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-16.

Coming up, Wade Hampton will be playing at home against Spartanburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wade Hampton is facing Spartanburg at the right time seeing as Spartanburg is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Eastside, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-44 defeat against Riverside on the 8th.
