Volleyball Recap: Batavia Bulldogs vs. Lyons Lions
Batavia saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lyons Lions. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Lyons scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18.

Lyons found their leader in sophomore Julia Ahrens, who had nine digs and two aces.
Batavia's defeat dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Lyons, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.
Batavia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Maine West on the 18th. Lyons has also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Palatine on the 18th.
