Softball Recap: Kingswood Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Kingswood was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Plymouth on Friday. The Knights' pitchers stepped up to hand the Bobcats a 17-0 shutout. Considering the Knights have won seven contests by more than 11 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Miley B was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Avery G, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Kingswood is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Plymouth, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Coming up, Kingswood will be playing at home against Laconia at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Sachems will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Plymouth, they will take on Pembroke at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
