Volleyball Recap: Cobleskill-Richmondville Takes a Loss

Cobleskill-Richmondville lost against Coxsackie-Athens back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Coxsackie-Athens Riverhawks. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cobleskill-Richmondville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 26-24, 25-15, 25-11.

Kole Wayman paced Cobleskill-Richmondville's offense, picking up ten kills. Wayman got some help from Landon Yatrakis and his 19 assists. Aiden Carr controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Cobleskill-Richmondville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Coxsackie-Athens, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Cobleskill-Richmondville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Catskill on the 3rd. Coxsackie-Athens has also already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Voorheesville on the 3rd.
