Basketball Recap: Gavin Williams Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Gateway Charter

Bishop Verot had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 63-51 victory over the Gateway Charter Griffins on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Griffins back in January, they had to take a 60-48 defeat.

Bishop Verot's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gavin Williams, who went 5 of 9 en route to 26 points and six rebounds. The game was Williams' fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Bryan Broomhead, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 18 points.

Bishop Verot is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.
