Baseball Recap: John Marshall's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

John Marshall's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They skirted past the Henrico Warriors 9-7. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Justices as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Brice Johnson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Darrell Vaughan, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

John Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Henrico, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Looking ahead, John Marshall will take on Meadowbrook at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Justices are facing the Monarchs at the right time seeing as the Monarchs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Henrico, they will venture away from home to square off against Highland Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
