Football Preview: San Jose Bulldogs vs. Hill Falcons
San Jose has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will head out to take on the Hill Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, San Jose didn't have quite enough to beat Evergreen Valley and fell 16-14.
Despite the loss, San Jose saw an underclassman step up: Omar Gomez rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 67 receiving yards. Gomez got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 60 yards.
Even though they lost, San Jose was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 277 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

San Jose's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hill, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-4.
San Jose strolled past Hill in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 by a score of 22-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Jose since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
