Basketball Game Preview: St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders vs. Northeast Hurricanes

The St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders will square off against the Northeast Hurricanes at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as St. Thomas Aquinas comes in on three and Northeast on six.

On Friday, St. Thomas Aquinas was able to grind out a solid win over Blanche Ely, taking the game 62-51. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Tigers are ranked 66th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Northeast strolled past Nova with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 55-40.

St. Thomas Aquinas has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Northeast, their victory bumped their record up to 22-2.
