Basketball Recap: Council Rock South Takes a Loss

Council Rock South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 66-49 fall against the Neumann-Goretti Saints.

It was another big night for DeShawn Yates, who went 10 for 15 on his way to 27 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists for Neumann-Goretti. With that strong performance, Yates is now averaging an impressive 17.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Alassan N'Diaye, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Council Rock South's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Neumann-Goretti, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Council Rock South didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-50 loss against Harry S. Truman on the 17th. Neumann-Goretti has also already played their next match, an 84-50 win against Kingsway on the 16th.
