Baseball Recap: Williams Valley Wins Going Away Against Weatherly

After only two runs in their last contest, Williams Valley made sure to put some runs up on the board against Weatherly on Tuesday. The Vikings blew past Weatherly 21-2. With that victory, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 8.8 runs per game.

Brady Shomper made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Shomper was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Camden Berger was a standout: he scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Deibert, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Williams Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weatherly only posted an OBP of .389.

Williams Valley now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Weatherly, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
