Softball Recap: Blackman's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Blackman came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Siegel Stars by a score of 14-11. For the Blaze, this counts as revenge for the 11-0 victory the Stars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Sophia Sullivan, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 5-for-6. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Khloe Kolb, who scored a run while going 4-for-6.

Blackman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .463. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Blackman's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Siegel, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7-1.
